We couldn’t do Christmas without a bit of gingerbread, after all the flavour of this immediately warms you up to the festive season! It is thought that gingerbread originated from Greece over a thousand years ago and quickly became known and loved across most of Europe. In Sweden, around the 15th century nuns used to make gingerbread (known as ‘pepper bread’) to ease digestion and was considered to possess healing properties.
Our gingerbread chocolate slabs have been created using Swedish gingerbread snaps and enrobed with our silky, smooth dark Belgian chocolate which gives a real sense of warmth during the festive season. This gingerbread dark chocolate slab is bitter, warming and spicy. Perfect for a cold winter’s night when you can relax and really enjoy this pretty special chocolate slab.
